EQUATORIAL GUINEA

FA D’AMBU; Equatorial Guinea (9,500)

On the island of Annobón, 223 miles off the coast of Equatorial Guinea, excitement is

stirring in the hearts of the Fa d’Ambu people as they await the arrival of the New

Testament in their language. Give praise: The printing is fully funded, and the books are

at the printer!

Prayer points:

» Protection over the New Testaments as they are printed and shipped to Africa.

Clearing customs can be quite difficult and costly.

» God’s blessing on the dedication services that will be held on the island of

Annobón and in the capital city of Malbo. COVID-19 makes planning difficult.

» That the team will complete the audio version and phone app of the New

Testament to coincide with the upcoming dedication.

» That Fa d’Ambu peoples’ hearts will be prepared to receive God’s Word in

their language.

The Aari translation team is working diligently to revise the New Testament and

translate the Old Testament into Latin and Ethiopic scripts. While COVID-19 delayed

the publishing of the entire Bible, an audio version is available and is used in the

language communities.

Prayer points:

» A smooth print job that results in clear print and strong binding for the Latin and

Ethiopic script editions.

» For the community to find creative ways to raise funds for printing and shipping

costs.

» Wisdom for the committee planning a dedication; ask God to guide them to a

location and time when many can attend.

» Wide and effective distribution of Scripture so all Aari people will have access to

God’s life-transforming Word. Pray that the Aari people will write God’s words deep

within their hearts (Proverbs 7:3).
